Last night I made the opening music performance before Carl’s Trio played.
Together with Kai Nelius we played 6 tunes by various artists interpreted on acoustic guitars. We really enjoyed the sold out location (about 200 people) and we had a lot of fun with them.
After that Carl rocked the house with his supernatural good trio..
Thanks Carl, it was really an honour to support you, have fun on the rest of your tour!

Carl is on tour with his own trio and I have the chance to give him support! I will play together with Kai Nelius at the 17th of September in the Kerem / Delmenhorst.

Ohhhh man. This has been the last day in Los Angeles. It was so unbelievable. I really don’t know what to say ! I am just so thankful for everything that everybody here in L.A. gave me on my way. For everything that they teached me if it is for my music or for my personal improvement. I am thankful for every person who made this possible for me. Thanks BoDo for the benefit concert and your support and also thanks to every person who has been there. Even if he played or not. Both sides are so important for me.
Man this is hard to write. I just moved it from Day to day because I knew that these two weeks are kind of over when I wrote that on my wall. Well to finish it: MY Family. . My family gave me the background, the backup, the talks and every other support that a happy son could imagine. You are so unbelievable. In these two weeks I thought everyday, every hour of you and what you made for me. Y. ILU.
In these two weeks I learned so much about myself and my future way and so much for my playing. God I have the hugest respect of Carl Verheyen and Steve Trovato, of Bruce Watson and all the other guys I met over here! Thanks for Dain Blair that he offered me to work at his GrooveWorx company and thank you Gerhard for showing me all that stuff. Well I should stop here because otherwise this blog would be 10 pages long!
My last words belong to Carl Verheyen, the person that I will always look up to, the person that I will ever learn from, my whole life long!

It took me 3 hours to get to Steves house with the public transportation, it was awful! Well then I had 2 wonderful lessons with him and he gave me so much input that I’m thankful to have it on tape. Otherwise I would forget more than 50% of the stuff he showed me. I can write I book about what I’ve learned here! So why don’t give me a call when I’m in Germany again and ask me to show you some stuff? I would love to! Well now I’m waiting for a message of Bruce Watson so I can see him playing with a band tonight!
Today I was the last time at the beach. I will come back beautiful Santa Monica, I will come back. I promise. Well, so far. Gotta eat some food now. Chinese? Italian? Mexican? So many possibilities.. JZ
I woke up early and recognized that I forgot my adapter for the American plugs at Steve’s house so I drove to the mall and bought a new one. Unfortunately I arrived 30 Minutes before the stores were open. Then I drove home and started playing – and did that until 10 pm, with some breaks for having dinner but at all it’s been 10 hours. That cannot be healthy, best JZ
